Bass in the Grass is the Territory's biggest music festival, and now attracts festival-goers from right around Australia.
Each year the lineup features the hottest national acts. In 2023, Bass hosted Amy Shark, Angus and Julia Stone, Guy Sebastian and Tones and I among other great artists. Keep up to date with the next lineup

Held at Mindil Beach, the festival has two stages, a silent disco, multiple bars and tasty food stalls to keep you fuelled.

The V8 Supercars will hit the tracks at Darwin's Hidden Valley for an action-packed weekend of racing.
It's anticipated that the 2024 event will be bigger and better than ever before, featuring Supercars, Australian Superbikes, Nitro Up North, S5000 and more.

JULY 2024
If you want to experience a true Territory tradition, check out the annual Beer Can Regatta at Mindil Beach.
Held every September, this iconic event sees Top Ender's race their boats made out of beer cans across the water. Racing aside, you can enjoy other fun activities including sandcastle competitions, thong throwing and team events.
The Mindil Market stalls will be set up throughout the day, so you can take a wander and grab a bite to eat between races.

1 july 2024
Every year on 1 July, Territorians come together to celebrate the day the NT declared independence from the Commonwealth Government.
It's a day to recognise everything that's great about the Territory. Mindil Beach is the place to be for Territory day, with the Mindil Market stalls set up, a live concert on the beach and fireworks displays.

July - august 2024
The annual Darwin Cup Carnival is packed with spectacular racing events in the heart of tropical Fannie Bay, right around the corner from Hudson Parap.
Kicking off at the start of July with the Guineas Day Race, the multi-day carnival is the event of the dry season. Be sure to check out the packages at Silks Darwin, the Fashion on the Fields and the Gala Ball if you're feeling a little fancy.

Darwin transforms every August for the Darwin Festival, highlighting some of the very best local and national talent.
Get ready for two weeks of music, art, comedy, cabaret, fashion and more in the midst of Darwin's beautiful dry season.
Even if you're not seeing a ticketed show, Festival Park will be set up for the duration of the festival so you can head down to grab a bite to eat and enjoy the live music.

October to March
The Million Dollar Fish competition gives fishos of all experience levels the chance to win in a huge pool of prize money. Running annually between October and March, this is a great opportunity to discover fishing in the Top End with a little extra incentive.
